Parents Club
The Mountaineer Parents Club was created in 1995 as one of the five student life initiatives of WVU President David C. Hardesty. It is chaired by the President’s wife, Susan Hardesty, and is co-sponsored by the WVU Alumni Association. The organization, now nearly 6,000 members strong, was established to foster success by connecting parents and family members with the West Virginia University student experience.
West Virginia University's Mountaineer Parents Club is free and open to the parents and family members of current, former, and future WVU Students.
To join, call the Mountaineer Parents Club office at (304)293-2506, or email: Lisa.Hanselman@mail.wvu.edu, or contact one of the following local chapters:

Currently, there are approximately 500 parents involved in the Pittsburgh area chapters. These local chapters design programs to support student activities, host speakers from WVU, organize “get-acquainted” summer picnics for students and parents, attend athletic events, publish newsletters and represent the Mountaineer Parents Club at “College Nights” in area high schools.
In addition, a toll-free help-line ( 1-800-WVU-0096 ) has been established to provide direct and immediate help for parents who have questions or concerns that do not fall within the typical categories of frequently called WVU numbers.
